This exam consisted in making 2 Bridges made of Pasta and hot glue. This bridges had estabilished weight and dimensions.
All the people of the course were divided in groups, and I worked together with 2 other people. The most resistant bridge would have won the challenge.
Before making the object, we had to calculate its resistance, ultimate strenght and stress diagrams with the help of programs like Sap2000.
As you can see from the first video, our bridge didn't broke in the first test, so we won the challenge, but we were curious about its real resistance and we broke it home, with a weight of 17,2 kg.
The second bridge had a lighter estabilished weight, it had to be less resistant, but we didn't have to test it.
In fact, we just had to make all the resistance calculations, because we had to bring it to the oral exam and discuss about it with the professor. Anyway we broke it home to test its strenght, as you can see in the 4th video.
